Antidepressants are medicines used to help people who have depression. With the help of these depression medications, most people can achieve significant recovery from depression.

But the question really is are this drugs safe?

Most antidepressants are believed to work by slowing the removal of certain chemicals from the brain. These chemicals are called neurotransmitters (such as serotonin and norepinephrine). Neurotransmitters are needed for normal brain function and are involved in the control of mood and in other responses and functions, such as eating, sleep, pain, and thinking.
But research has shown that some of these drugs have varying rates of effectiveness and come with long lists of side effects, including weight gain, insomnia, loss of libido, nausea, and headaches.In fact there are cases of individuals who have committed suicide or violent crimes while under the influence ofthe newer antidepressants such as Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Luvox and Celexa

Now you should be asking why are these things still being sold .There’s only one reason-they pull in billions of dollars for the drug companies that manufacture them.

What does it take for people to realize the danger of these drugs? people should be told that there are natural alternatives to using antidepressants. Depression can be treated naturally with simple things around us.
